Gmelina is normally propagated by seed.
One kg contains 660–3000 stones, each generally containing 1–2 seeds. Stones from freshly collected fruits (with fruit wall still yellow-green to yellow) show the best germination results, with a germination rate of 65–80%. Fruits are collected from the ground. Whilst people are cutting down Gmelina, start planting around your garden or start trekking to the mountains and plant trees that can restrain floods on the rainy seasons.
What is sustainable development?
It starts at your home. The natural material that comes from Gmelina is indeed very useful and the best gift we have ever received from nature. It can be transformed into many different products and are not a waste of money, time, and effort.
